January 3-13
-
J-Term is an innovative curricular feature which launched in our Upper School during the 2011–2012 school year. Modeled after the college January term concept, J-Term is designed to increase learning opportunities. Our students are given a choice between a number of unique opportunities extending beyond the normal high school curriculum. Some travel the world as part of academic and mission trips. Through internships, students are able to experience a profession first-hand before deciding on a college or major. Finally, in the J-Term classroom students find enriching opportunities in courses not traditionally available. We are pleased to offer this curriculum expansion to our student body and to become part of a growing trend in Christian education.
The upper school students who were on ACA's campus for J-Term took two of the following classes:
Cake Decorating
Common Sense and Self Defense
Discover Quilting
Drama & Improvisation
Driver's Education
Emergency Preparedness
Habitat for Humanity
Intro to 3D Blender (Computer Animation Software)
Juegos Locos con Silva
Personal Finance
Preparing College Applications
