Preschool Admission

ACA offers the following three preschool classes:
For children who are 3 years old by August 31st
Tuesday & Thursday
Mornings (8:15 - 12:15)

For children who are 4 years old by August 31st
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Mornings (8:15 - 12:15)

For children who are 5 by October 31st
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
All Day (8:15 - 3:00)

We recommend that interested parents schedule time in the preschool classroom as well as a campus tour.

To Enroll:

1. Complete and return the application with the following:
   • $175 application fee
   • Updated Immunization Record
   • Preschool Admission form
   • Copy of Birth Certificate
2. After receiving all requested information, the office will contact parents to set up an interview with both parents and the Lower School Principal and/or Head of School.
3. Following the interview, parents will be notified regarding acceptance.
4. If accepted, a tuition contract will be given to the family as well as all other placement materials.
5. Parents and preschooler should plan to visit the preschool prior to attending. An appointment may be scheduled through the Admissions Office.

Kindergarten Admission

Kindergarten applicants must turn 5 years of age by August 31st of the year entering (exceptions may be made if developmental screening indicates a more mature behavior age).

ACA offers the following two Kindergarten classes:
Mornings (8:15 - 12:00) Monday - Friday
Full Day (8:15 - 3:00) Monday - Friday

We recommend that interested parents schedule time in the classroom of their child's intended placement as well as a campus tour.

To Enroll:

1. Complete and return the application with the following:
   • $175 application fee
   • Copy of Birth Certificate
   • Updated Immunization Record
   • If your child has had previous special testing, please include a copy
   • Kindergarten Admission form
2. All Kindergarten applicants are required to take the Detroit Test of Learning Aptitude (DTLA) test. The cost of the test is $30, and the office staff will call to schedule the testing.
3. After receiving all requested information, including testing results, the office will contact parents to set up an interview with both parents and the Lower School Principal and/or Head of School.
4. Following the interview, parents will be notified regarding acceptance.
5. If accepted, a tuition contract will be given to the family.

Grades 1-12 Admission

We recommend that interested parents schedule time in the classroom of their child's intended placement as well as a campus tour.

To Enroll:

1. Complete and return the application with the following:
   • $175 application fee
   • Copy of Birth Certificate
   • Updated Immunization Record
   • If your child has had previous special testing, please include a copy
   • Copy of past achievement testing
   • Copy of most recent report card

2. Lower School (Grades 1-5): Have the student's current teacher complete and return to ACA the Teacher Recommendation Form.

   Middle/Upper School (Grades 6-12): Have the student's current English teacher, Math teacher and Church leader complete and return to ACA each respective Recommendation Form.

3. Upon receipt of all application forms the office will schedule an admission testing date, if needed, for the applicant. The cost of the test is $40.
4. After receiving all requested information, the office will contact parents to set up an interview with both parents and the School Principal and/or Head of School.
5. Following the interview, parents will be notified regarding acceptance.
6. If accepted, a tuition contract will be given to the family.
