Tuition and Fees for the 2016-17 School Year

Lower School: tuition and fees cover textbooks, classroom materials, student accident insurance and activity fees (field trips, auxiliary learning experiences, etc.)

Other General Information

Non-Refundable Application fee per family............... $200.00
The application fee covers the admissions process and is non-refundable unless ACA is unable to enroll the student.

Kindergarten Screening (required)................................. $30.00

Enrollment Deposit.......................................................... $1,000.00 ($500 for K-4)
Upon acceptance new families will be given 30 days to acknowledge placement and remit the deposit. The deposit is applied toward tuition costs. 

Parent-Partners Academy Fee..................................... $400.00
New families enrolling at ACA are charged a $400 Parent Partners Academy fee. ACA believes so strongly in the parent/school partnership that upon enrollment, new parents are required to participate in a two-session Parent-Partners Academy. After completing both sessions, the $400 is credited back to the family's account.

Payment Options: The Business Office will issue to new families a tuition contract for the remaining balance upon receipt of the Enrollment Deposit. Payment options are:

  • Annual Pay of the full amount payable by August 1 of the current school year.
  • Semi-Annual Pay are due (first half payable by August 1; second half payable by January 1)
  • Monthly Pay 10 monthly payments beginning in July through May with no payment due in February. A late fee of $35 will be charged to your account for every month you are late with payment.

Learning Connections services are available for students who have been diagnosed with a learning disability, processing deficits, an attention deficit disorder or other health impairments by a licensed psychologist or physician. Entrance into the program is based upon a diagnosis and a recommendation by the Director of Academic Support. Miscellaneous Services: Fees are associated with the following services and interested parties should contact the school for details.

  • Bus Service (North, South and West Asheville)
  • AfterCare (3:30-5:30 p.m. for Lower and Middle School students)
  • Flik lunch services (Monday-Friday)
  • Winterim (costs vary according to options chosen)
  • After school Excel Programs (Fine Arts, Sports, Academic)
  • Middle and Upper School Fine Arts (including 5th grade band)
  • Athletic fees vary by sport

Part-Time Enrollment: ACA welcomes homeschooling part-time students to join our learning community. Enrollment is open to students entering grades 9-12 and is dependent on space available. Please contact the school for details and costs.
