Welcome to Silva Rerum online, Asheville Christian Academy’s fine arts magazine! We’re excited to present our inaugural edition for your enjoyment. The fine arts magazine was developed by a body of upper school students as a venue for ACA middle and upper school students to display their God-given talents in the arts, including literature, photography, visual arts, music and video. Through the generous help of these students along with several teachers, administrators, donors and staff, the fledgling yearly magazine took flight. Six-hundred copies of the magazine were printed for distribution to ACA families. Along the way student editors learned how to judge admissions, choose winners, deal with budgets, select printers, and learn some of the most advanced software available for desktop publishing.
We think you’ll find that ACA is a school where students can exercise a wide variety of artistic gifts, and we think you’ll agree, we have some real talent here! It has been exciting watching the development of this magazine and watching as students created the first edition of what we hope will become an ACA tradition.
